Constitution of Corporation

Maharashtra State Security Corporation (M.S.S.C.) is a Security Corporation established by Government of Maharashtra under Maharashtra State Security Corporation Act, 2010 with the purpose of raising a Security Force for providing better protection and security to the State Government and Central Government offices, Undertakings, Institutions, including Private Sector establishments.

It is governed by the Maharashtra State Security Corporation Act, 2010 which has come into force on 19th April, 2010.

The Corporation has been formed to undertake following functions:

  1. To provide better protection and security to the State Government and Central Government offices, undertakings, public sector undertakings in the State of Maharashtra, vital installations, financial institutions, religious institutions, cultural institutions, educational institutions, medical institutions, and like, as well as to private commercial institutes, corporate bodies, manufacturing units etc., on a specific request received from the Competent authorities to the infrastructure facilities like major bridges, Special Economic Zones, private ports and jetties, dams and expressways etc.
  2. To provide technical consultancy services and to conduct security audit of all such undertakings, establishments or institutions, on the issues of security at their request, on payment of charges as may be specified by the corporation.
